The aim of the program is to raise students’ interest in innovation and entrepreneurship and increase the number of innovative businesses they start. The Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) is a management course where the focus is on innovation approach and aims to stimulate interest in innovation. The programme introduces the young generation to the structure and functioning of the innovation ecosystem, and offer them the opportunity to get involved. The students will have the opportunity to learn the solution-oriented thinking from experts in the start-up sector. The first half of the university course will focus on developing an innovation mindset, the second half will focus on and project ideas, the students work in teams to develop their ideas. The programme is funded by a scholarship and and business mentoring in order to prepare the best project idea developers for the real market environment. the programme will be concluded by a contest, involving incubators, business angels and venture capital fund managers and venture capital funds.
